GUM 11 Magazin für konzeptionelles Gestalten

Design takes its life from original ideas. But continually generating new and different ideas is a challenge that has changed significantly ever since the world's archives and aesthetic forms of expression have been made available to all on the internet. The abundance of visual and textual stimuli makes it necessary to rethink design strategies, leading to the increasing realization that it is concepts that form the basis for creative design work. GUM 11 presents examples of this conceptual approach to design from the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, accompanied by texts that outline the contours of conceptual design as a principle. Fashion, photography and media, as well as graphic and communication design, all contribute to the dialogue between design and theory.
