Product information "Alexander Hahn"

This catalogue provides the first extensive overview of the works of Swiss video artist Alexander Hahn. The "new media pioneer" has compiled here a representative sampling from his oeuvre including examples of all of the different media he works in (works on paper, films and videos, objects, video sculptures and installations). Also featured are his little-known early works, watercolors and pastels as well as his "Cyborgs" (machines made of electronic scrap) from the 1970s and 80s. Rounding out the selection and raising it to the level of a Gesamtkunstwerk are videos incorporating a fusion of sound and language, along with poetic texts, often composed by the artist himself. The catalogue is being published to accompany an exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Solothurn and at the Museum der Moderne, Salzburg. Available as signed book in limited edition.
