Product information "Eric Tchéou"

"What does the wind do when it does not blow?" This simple question led Eric Tchéou to develop an answer that explores existential matters and the inevitability of change. His photobook is built around sequences that take us through a poetic yet thought-provoking journey that is quiet, tense, mysterious, and mundane, on the edge between dream and reality. The work examines how we create meaning for ourselves when surrounded by questions without answers and how we can keep going on while carrying the fears or obsessions that drive us. French artist of Laotian origin, Eric Tchéou, lived and worked in the USA, UK, France, and Belgium. In his 2009 novel Le son d'une main he reflected on the emotional and spiritual journey one goes through to deal with sudden loss and change. His photographic work has been displayed in the UK, France, and Belgium.
