Product information "Haubitz+Zoche"

Reflections documents the comprehensive art concept devised by the artist duo Haubitz + Zoche for a new bank building in Hamburg's HafenCity harbor district. The concept was inspired by the building's setting directly on the waterfront as well as by the panoramic view from the upper stories and the clear formal language of the open architecture. The artists crystallized three narrative strands out of this context, which run through the entire building: Water, Sky and Communication. Sabine Haubitz (*1959) and Stefanie Zoche (*1965) came from different artistic backgrounds (photography and installation) to form a creative partnership. Haubitz + Zoche work as partner artists in Munich, focusing on site-specific installations. In joint projects for public space, they subtly integrate images alien to the particular setting into existing architectural structures.
