Product information "Jurek Wajdowicz"

Contemporary artist photographer Jurek Wajdowicz creates minimalist, abstract, lensbased works that move between presence and disappearance, color and near-silence. Suspended between photography and painting, Wajdowicz’s work allows color to emerge as both subject and atmosphere, shifting in intensity and depth. Structured as a series of movements, Solace and Light allows perception to unfold ahead of narrative, inviting a sustained, unhurried way of looking. Through subtle transitions of light and color, the images approach a rare state of absolute beauty—luminous, held between restraint and intensity—forming a meditation on perception, memory, and the passage of time. Wajdowicz's (b. 1951) work is held in museums and private collections in the United States, Europe, and Japan. The publication is complemented by poems by the late Polish poet and Nobel Prize—winning writer Wisława Szymborska.
