K. T. Blumberg Parcours Real
Photographer K. T. Blumberg embarks on an unusual journey through Berlin. Her photographs reflect her feelings about life in this city, which is depicted as a gigantic construction site for a new identity. People are on the move, everyday objects cheerfully take on a life of their own and historical statues stand lost in the midst of the urban chaos of the twenty-first century. The photographs are arranged in dramatic sequences that echo the composition of contemporary musical rhythms. Parcours real is an uncoventional collection of photographs of life in this unfinished metropolis. K. T. Blumberg has been living in Berlin since the 1980s. She graduated as a sociologist and was previously employed at the Free University and the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. For the past ten years, she has been curating exhibitions of contemporary art. Her photographic projects cover themes such as tolerance amongst society, social crises, and crossing the border to Poland.
