Mark Bain und James Beckett Museum of Noise
With Mark Bain (*1966) and James Beckett (*1977), the new directors of the Kölnischer Kunstvereins, Anja Nathan-Dorn and Kathrin Jentjens, have launched their program with two young artists who straddle the borders between conceptual art, sound art and experimental music. Bain and Beckett enjoy experimenting with new technologies and media, demonstrating a highly sensitive response to specific places. In this publication they show their latest works, which examine the architecture of Wilhelm Riphahn and underline the character of an exhibition space as a showcase for the city where it is located.
