Ole Nesset Unburdened Migration
Departing from a poetic perspective, Unburdened Migration seeks to touch upon a heavily debated crisis of our time by weaving a fable around the subject. Playing with structures of authority, the project takes form as a non-linear photobook that tells an allegorical story of migratory birds and human exodus recently accelerated by climate change. With a focus on the exploration of language and history, it employs photography, as well as graphics, as a mode of communicating ideas of otherness, togetherness and deliberate miscommunication. Ole Nesset (b.1994) is a Norwegian photographer, photobook artist and graphic designer working within the overlap between photography, text and graphics. He lives and works in Gothenburg and Oslo.
