Oscar Wiggli Superpositions Fotografien, Zeichnungen, Klanginstallationen
Oscar Wiggli (*1927 in Solothurn) created his photographic work group, Superpositions, in the 1960s and 70s by means of double exposures. The term superposition can stand as a metaphor for Wiggli's holistic thinking and creating: overlaying and superimposition, concealing or staggering two- or three-dimensional iron plates into wonderfully sensual bodies. Equally important is Wiggli's musical work: his compositions, descended from Concrete Music, are based on distorted acoustic sounds and noises and have been presented at international festivals of contemporary music. Superpositions – also including Wiggli's most recent drawings – appears on the occasion of an exhibition in the Solothurn Art Museum and is supplemented with a CD of a current composition by the artist.
