Susanne Wellm Inner Landscape
The book "Inner Landscapes" reflects Danish photographer Susanne Wellm's multifaceted way of working with photography. The works are paired to convey the feelings, ambiences and potential stories that the artist finds in her surroundings. Wellm often works with layers, mixing various techniques and different photographic media. "Inner Landscapes" reflects her unorthodox and poetic approach to photography and emphasizes how photography, with all its possibilities, becomes a way of capturing feelings and moods. Her works are not immediately comprehensible, but enforce an open narrative. "I try to nurture imagination and perhaps start an inner film. The uncertain element; what am I looking at, why this combination of pictures, and who's memory is this?" (Susanne Wellm) Susanne Wellm is the winner of the Danish FotoTriennale Award 2012. With the award comes a solo exhibition at Museet for Fotokunst during FotoTriennale 2015.
