Weserburg | Museum für moderne Kunst Fliegende Hunde und andere seltsame Dinge Kunst mit Kindern
Introducing young people to the visual arts at as early an age as possible is a major component of the museum work of the Weserburg, Bremen's museum of modern art, which displays a great deal of Fluxus, Conceptual art, video and sound art. The methods educator Marion Hansen has developed to arouse children's interest in art deliberately ignore the usual art historical value standards and focus on forms of learning different from those used at school. This book is designed primarily for teachers and parents, but is written in a language that also makes it suitable for elementary school children to read by themselves. It is hoped that the book will animate children to try their hand at art and that it will serve as a source of inspiration for new and individual encounters with modern art.
