keine Angst
The word "fear" is used today in the broader sense to refer to an extremely widespread and multilayered phenomenon. [keine] Angst uses selected examples to shed light on some aspects of how fear is manifest in our society. Fear is not shown only in a negative sense, however; its positive effects are also highlighted: as an important signal protecting human life and as an impulse to take action. Moreover, the question is raised of to what extent we are still able to distinguish between well-founded fears and the manipulation of our anxieties in today's media-saturated world. Featuring works by artists including Olaf Otto Becker, Rod Dickinson, Peter Granser, Björn Melhus, Jonathan Monk, Tony Oursler, Thomas Ruff, Nedko Solakov, Mia Unverzagt et al.
