Where do territories start and end? Who determines them? What is their function? Curator Andréa Holzherr examines the geographical, political, economic and private aspects of the theme in a collection of selected works in photography and film by members of the legendary photo agency and photographers' collective, Magnum Photos. With more than 50 photographers participating, the festival presents a multifaceted perspective into the defence, liberation, transgression or interconnection of various areas and territories all over the world, and brings an important piece of international photography history to the region. The catalog will reflect the conceptualisation of the exhibitions and contextualise them with detailed commentaries. As a compendium of different photographic approaches by the Magnum photographers, the publication will provide readers and visitors to the festival with a fascinating insight into the history and identity of the legendary agency.
