Product information "China macht Druck"

The Asian giant is in the centre of interest. Its economy is booming, the Olympic Games arouse worldwide attention and in the international art scene, too, the Chinese are the current stars. China is pressing powerfully. Literally so in the publication of the Städtische Galerie Bietigheim-Bissingen, which presents the enthralling field of topical Chinese graphic printing in a specially assembled group show. The biggest part of the screenprints, woodcuts, lithographs, and etchings come from a private collection in Beijing and have virtually never been on show in Germany before. Further top-class works from German and international collections make the book an excellent survey on contemporary graphic art in China. The artists participating in this exhition are Fang Lijun, Liu Ye, Lu Hao, Ren Rong, Su Xinping, Tan Ping, Wang Guangyi, Xu Bing, Xue Song, Yang Shaobin, Yue Minjun, Zeng Fanzhi, Zhang Xiaogang, Zhou Tiehai, and others.
