Product information "Edgar Zippel"

What do young people in Europe at the beginning of the 21st century look like, and how do they present themselves? Are there obvious differences in the outfits and attitudes of young people from different regions of Europe? Are the processes at work in today's society obliterating regional idiosyncrasies? Berlin photographer Edgar Zippel set out to find answers to these questions, and the results of his quest will be displayed in an exhibition at the Museum of European Cultures, part of the National Museums in Berlin. The photographer made several journeys through different regions of Europe and portrayed young people there between the ages of 18 and 23. The 100 portraits of young Europeans from Portugal, Moldova, Italy, the UK, Romania, Iceland and Germany unfurl a fascinating visual spectrum. In interviews, the young people told the photographer about their hopes for the future, their dreams and their anxieties, most of them however claiming: "I'm not afraid of anything!"
