FH Bielefeld / Kunsthalle Bielefeld Social Dogma
In "Social Dogma", media artist Thomas Henke, in conjunction with students at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, is once again addressing the format of the video portrait. 12 people who see themselves as representing minorities in our society were accompanied by a camera over an extended period of time. The focus was on an experimental treatment of the medium: cinematic strategies such as keeping a video diary, online dialogues via webcam and eyewitness reports on those portrayed by the student partners explore the multilayered means of production offered by the medium of video.
