Product information "Hermann Weber"

Born in 1959 in Biberach / Riß, the artist Hermann Weber often works in cycles. In the past few years alone, he has created 31 different series of paintings and sculptures. His works usually deny the viewer immediate and direct access, while still exerting an irresistible fascination on other levels. The heads and figures seem to belong to another world, refusing to communicate with their ostensible audience. And that is exactly what makes it so intriguing to try to unlock the secret of Weber's art, to investigate and attempt to fathom what's behind these mute figures. In the process, the viewer joins the artist on a suspense-filled quest for the meaning behind things. The book accompanies the exhibition Regardez – Dix Ans – Hermann Weber at the Galerie GNG, Gilles Naudin in Paris.
