Product information "Kunstpalais Erlangen"

What is happiness? Is it a promise, the meaning of life or merely a brief high point? Is happiness a fragile thing, or rather an "arrant whore" (William Shakespeare), perhaps even an invention of the devil (Gustave Flaubert)? "Glück happens …" is devoted to this philosophical theme, presenting the various aspects of happiness and its forms of expression in all their many facets and refractions. Starting with simple answers, the book then raises difficult questions that force the reader to continually rethink his own attitudes. This publication accompanies an exhibition by the same name at the Kunstpalais Erlangen in which 15 artists of international repute formulate their extremely diverse ideas of happiness. Artists: Lars Arrhenius & Daniel Westlund, Birgit Brenner, Mona Hatoum, Runa Islam, Christian Jankowski, Šejla Kameri, Katharina Karrenberg, Aleksandra Mir, Karina Nimmerfall, Peter Piller, Tobias Rehberger, Luzia Simons, Alejandro Vidal, Erwin Wurm, Paola Yacoub
