Product information "RAY 2015 Fotografieprojekte Frankfurt/RheinMain"

How can we or in fact would we like to see the world today? How can the alienation or dissolution of everyday realities generate new perspectives both through and in photography? Beyond the documentary, what do the visual languages with which artists reflect on the philosophical and existential aspects of the human and material existence of our time look like? Under the title IMAGINE REALITY, the Photography Triennial RAY 2015 presents in the form of one main exhibition and six partner exhibitions, thirty-five artists from fifteen different countries and their images of subjective and staged realities. Their works lead us into a world in which reality and fiction, facts and illusion, are inextricably intertwined, leading to an expansion of the real. The photographic methods used are as diverse as the history of photography. The positions displayed here reflect the transformation of the medium and recall the potential of a visible world.
