Sabine Schäfer TopoPhonien
This publication documents an artistic and technological development in the field of media art.It was a compository idea that triggered the development of the project "TopoPhonien". The basic idea was to move music arbitrarily over a network of loudspeakers that can be positioned freely in space, and thus to realize a new and hopefully exciting form of "spatia music". Sabine Schäfer developed and performed several different TopoPhonien, each time with respect to the architectural context and in combination with additional media such as light, image and other musical instruments. Includes texts by Helga de la Motte-Haber, Rudolf Frisius, Wolfgang Rihm, Dieter Daniels et al.
