MKM Museum Küppersmühle für Moderne Kunst, Duisburg Susan Hefuna – passage

In her multilayered works, the internationally acclaimed artist combines the influences of her German-Egyptian roots. She creates a fascinating synthesis of different cultures, which is honored in this comprehensive publication with over 100 outstanding works from the last thirty-five years. Susan Hefuna – passage is her thirteenth publication with Kehrer Verlag, and is published on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name in Duisburg. Hefuna uses a wide range of media and materials in her extraordinary creations, including drawing, installation, video, photography, and performance. Inspired by cityscapes and urban architecture, she explores the connections between place, time, and perception. Hefuna’s work has been exhibited around the world and is represented in major public collections, including the New York MoMA, the Guggenheim Museums, the Centre Pompidou, and the Louvre in Paris.
